My first book of poetry, not of course to be my last by any means. Originally starting as a journal of my feelings and experiences after a life-changing event, I quickly turned this three-year journey into a book.  Other people are going through exactly what I did and so I hope the book will be an inspiration to others.  There is a light at the end of the tunnel & it’s NOT a train.

 

My poetry; some shocking, some silly and some just plain happy will hopefully change you forever or at the very least burn a nasty image into your mind that you can never get rid of. HA HA!!   I have published “Colors of My Soul”, my first book of poetry, looking at my experiences of deep depression and severe anxiety, to my healing journey.

The Reflection in The Mirror

 

This dark cloud haunts me, follows me, invades my soul.  The storm rages and takes control of my mind.  I am thrown to the wolves once more.

 

There is no place to hide—no rest from the endless sniping and clawing of my torturer.

 

I try to stare her down but my own reflections mocks me and whistles again for the relentless snarling beasts. 

 

The women in the mirror is driving me mad.

 

Re-Made

 

I am re-writing my life.  It is now filled with the people I choose to fill it with.  The art that is channeled through it and the words I am compelled to write.

 

Guided by the infinite mind of the Goddess—on what do I set my sights next?  Who will I choose to become?  Who will I choose to leave behind?

 

My journey is one of an endless combination of events and a continual parade of challenges.

 

Life’s buffet sits before me and I will feast with abandon.
